Privacy Notice

This notice describes how CarPapi collects, uses, shares and protects information provided by shoppers and dealership users across the CarPapi website and the AutoMatch experience.

Information we collect

CarPapi collects information you voluntarily provide when you use AutoMatch or contact us, which may include: your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code or general location, vehicle preferences (such as make, model and body style), budget and target monthly payment, cash down payment, trade-in vehicle and value information, purchase timeline, contact preferences, and your vehicle interactions and test-drive requests. You may also optionally provide your self-reported monthly income and self-reported credit range.

Income and credit-range information, when provided, is entirely optional and self-reported. CarPapi does not verify it. CarPapi does not collect Social Security numbers, dates of birth or bank-account information.

How we use it

We use the information you provide to operate the CarPapi service: to run AutoMatch, match you with real participating-dealership inventory, estimate payment ranges, generate your match results, and facilitate the dealership connection you requested. Dealership users provide account and role information used to operate their dealership account.

Sharing with a participating dealership

When you submit an AutoMatch request and consent to being connected with a dealership, the participating dealership that receives your opportunity may access the relevant information you submitted — including, when provided, your optional self-reported income and credit range — so it can respond to your request. In the current experience, your opportunity is assigned to one participating dealership; CarPapi does not distribute your request to multiple dealerships as an anonymous lead. With your authorization, CarPapi may in the future connect you with additional participating dealerships you choose.

CarPapi's business model may include receiving compensation from participating dealerships for qualified opportunities, connections, subscriptions, platform services or related services. CarPapi does not operate as a data broker and does not indiscriminately resell consumer information.

No credit decisions

CarPapi does not pull credit, request a credit application, access a credit report, verify creditworthiness, or make lending decisions. Any financial information you provide is used only to improve the estimates shown to you and is never used to represent an approval, a rate, or a guaranteed financing outcome.

How AutoMatch works

Submitting AutoMatch creates an opportunity for the assigned participating dealership, and CarPapi records the dealership that received the request, the shopper-selected contact method, and any later consent withdrawal.

Your choices

You may contact CarPapi regarding the information you submitted, including requests for access, correction, deletion, or asking us to stop contacting you, or asking us to notify a participating dealership that you no longer wish to be contacted, subject to applicable requirements.
